Words matter! Here’s why.

THERE IS ENORMOUS POWER IN YOUR WORDS!!

If you’re going to become a person of faith, you have to change the way you talk. You have to announce it in order to experience it.

Sometimes speaking in faith appears totally foolish, totally arrogant, and totally out of touch with reality to people who don’t understand faith. Abraham knew about this. God came to Abram one day and said, “Abram, I’m going to change your name from Abram to Abraham.” Abraham means “the father of a great nation.”

Battery running low? This will charge you up!

A right relationship with Jesus is foundational to every area of your life.

Through a secure relationship with Jesus, you can grow and change in ways that are impossible to do without one. In truth, we can’t accomplish anything without God: “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13).

The challenge can seem impossible when we make any major change in our lives. Of course, it’s impossible when we try to do it on our own! But God’s strength working through our faith will turn the impossible into the possible.

Feel like giving up? Read this!

There is a strong belief in our culture that influences every one of us, whether we want it to or not: If it feels good, do it.

But when you allow yourself to be manipulated by your moods, you are living your life according to your feelings. God wants you to live a different kind of life. He wants you to live a life of faith, not a life of feelings.

Need help? This WILL help you bro!

Faith unlocks the promises of God, it shows us the power of God, it turns dreams into reality, and it gives us the power to hold on in tough times.

God doesn’t always take you out of the problem. He stretches your faith by taking you through the problem.

He doesn’t always take away the pain. He gives you faith-filled ability to handle the pain. And God doesn’t always take you out of the storm because he wants you to trust him in the midst of the storm.

How do I respond when everything falls apart?

When you are a young Christian, God gives you a lot of confirming emotions and often answers the most immature, self-centered prayers — so you’ll know He exists. But as you grow in faith, he will wean you of these dependencies.

God wants you to sense his presence, but he’s more concerned that you trust him than feel him.

Faith is what truly matters to God, not what we feel.

The Bible says of Moses in Hebrews 11:27, “By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible”.

Moses went to the most powerful man in the world and said, “You know those slaves that are building all your pyramids? I’m taking them, and we’re all leaving. You’re not going to have slave labor anymore. Let my people go.”

Struggling with passion? Read this!

God gave you a heart, and he has placed in you passions, desires, and dreams. But unless they are under his control, they will be misused, they will be abused, they will be misapplied, they will be misdirected, and they will be wasted in your life.

All around the world, there are millions of passionate people with interests and dreams and ambitions that are being misused and abused. And it breaks God’s heart. That’s why, in spite of their talent and their passion, those people are unhappy. Because when your passions are misused, it makes you miserable.

Issues? YES. Let’s deal with them!

You know that problem you’d like to get rid of in your life?

That temptation, defect, fault, fear, worry, loneliness — whatever is in your life that messes you up? You’re never going to get rid of it on your own. If you could, you would, but you can’t, so you won’t. You’re only going to get well when you’re honest with God — and with other people.

What to do in a difficult time…

Did Jesus suffer? Was he sometimes lonely? Was he tempted to be discouraged? Was he misunderstood, maligned, and criticized unjustly?

Of course! None of us are exempt from suffering, loneliness, discouragement, or unjust criticism, because God is developing within us the character of Christ, and, in order to do this, he must take us through all of the circumstances in life through which he took Christ.

In a mess? Read this…

Have you ever gotten yourself into such a mess that you knew there was no way you could get out of it on your own? Whether it was getting your car stuck or getting so lost you didn’t know where you were, you needed a rescuer.

But how easy was it for you to ask for help?
